women in Camden 2. To support Bangladeshi women in
exercising their right to health and social care services.
Bengali Women's Health Project has continued to provide direct
and much needed support services to local communities, including:
running health promotion workshops, providing one to one doctor's
sessions, providing exercise facilities for women and more
Promoting health and well-being for Bangladeshi families is one
of the key aims of the BWHP. BWHP is now running a project
Improving health with small steps that
will aim to provide a programme of support to the Bangladeshi women
which is uniquely designed to meet their needs.
Some of the benefits women report from attending workshops and
doctors sessions. Feedback for this section was collected by
observing workshops, informal discussions with women and community
workers, and feedback forms completed by staff and women.
